M's favorite food is cucumber. She'll down half a cucumber is about 5 minutes. So when we picked this one today and I handed it to her the first thing she wanted to do was take a bite out of it. Luckily she didn't before I took a picture. Who knew cucumbers had pointy sharp things on them that just rub off when you pick them!

Happy Fourth of July!

If you know anything about us you know we like to celebrate the Fourth! We had a blast this year with my mom and dad and brother being in town. He just got home from his mission and they came to visit us AND return to his mission for a little visit. We went tubing and had a barbecue for my birthday. We ate the traditional poke cake with mandatory strawberry and blueberry flag. While watching the fireworks from the boat (and cuddling M who cried at every blast) we enjoyed homemade key lime pie! Mmmm! A few days before we went and picked 12 pounds of blueberries to freeze and ended up making our first batch of blueberry-lime jam. We actually canned it (hot water bath style). I'm trying to become a domestic goddess if you didn't know! Up next -- pressure cooker! Last Sunday M finally said the most beautiful word ever -- mommy! It's amazing but she just came home from church and said the whole thing. And it just melts your heart.
