Mommy and M were baking -- thus the apron. Pretty cute if you ask me.

Bigger Than Life

At Daddy's work there's this picture of him that's huge. We actually had our camera with us the last time we were there and though we should capture the monstrosity. We put Daddy in the picture to give it a little perspective.

White House Christmas Tour

Daddy and Mommy had a fun evening out where we got to go on a tour of the White House. It was totally decorated for Christmas. The theme was "A Red, White, & Blue Christmas". Everything was in those colors. Very patriotic and very festive! Gorgeous!

I Made This!

I've searched high and low to find a valance that matched the roman blinds we put in the kitchen but to no avail. Then I looked at the blinds and realized I could probably mimic their pattern (it was just a bunch of pockets). So I found a fabric remnant for $3 at the craft store and whipped this out in less than one naptime! It's a perfect fit. Style and color! Yeah, yeah, yeah for Laurel projects. Even if I can't remember exactly how I made those balloon valances when I was 17 at least it inspired me to give this a try.

My Favorite Music

I've been enjoying all the Christmas music I've been hearing recently. Last night I got to see Daddy play at a school concert in Catholic University's Basilica. Love, love love! In the Bleak Midwinter. Also this awesome brass choir piece by Gabrielli. In the spirit of Music though I thought I'd share that this year I figured out what my favorite music is. In my teens people used to ask me and I really couldn't have told you. But now after years of pondering I've decided I really enjoy:

the voices of Luciano Pavarotti & the Mormon Tabernacle Choir
the sounds of the Orchestra at Temple Square (& most full orchestras for that matter)
the works of John Williams & Tchaikovsky
