Helping Make Dinner

A few weeks ago I showed M how to shuck corn. Yesterday as I was making dinner she came in and pointed at the stove and started squealing at me. Then I saw what it was and realized she wanted to help. Why not? So I set her up and she went to town. I had to finish 3 out of the 4 ears but hey, she was entertained for quite a while!

Potty Training!

In Michigan, M started telling us when her diaper needed to be changed. So when we got home we started teaching her about the potty chair. Now she tells us more often than not when she has to go. And she's been successful! We're not done but we've started!

Shiny Black Shoes

M loves her black shoes. Yesterday we were discussing a situation in our neighborhood with our neighbor (more on that later) when she brought us her black shoes to put on. Then she brought me my shoes. This was her subtle hint at getting us to taker her 'ow-side'. Then this morning she brought Daddy her shoes again so he could put them on her with her jammies.

Home from Vacation

We just got home from our trip to Michigan. We had planned to stop by Daddy's Great-Aunt's house in Pennsylvania on the way home. We got to do that but unfortunately it was for the funeral of one of Daddy's cousins. He was a 47 year-old firefighter. He died of a heart attack during a training exercise. They had an amazing funeral with thousands of people and around 100 firetrucks. It was incredible. This picture is of M with a "bubble" flower by some of the firetrucks.
