She was way too quiet. I should have know I'd pay for it but I was enjoying the peace as I listened to Conference. Too late. When I walk into her room I see she's found the vaseline and spread it all over the recliner. Scraped off what I could. Went and bought Dawn to help break the oil molecules and I'm in process of trying to figure out how our Big Green Clean machine works.
I should have known better than to enjoy the quiet.

oh NO!!! What a pain! I hope you can figure out how to get it out. I think I remember Nita telling me about how to get vaseline out... I'll ask her for you. Hugs! --bettijo
we did get it out. first scrape off as much as you can. then use dawn liquid detergent in some water and scrub it. then find something like a big green clean machine (wet carpet cleaner) and get the dawn out. it's probably not something you want to do on expensive furniture. this was also cloth, not leather or suede or anything like that. thank goodness!
