M is getting quicker and quicker by the day. The other day in Target we saw a display of chocolate syrup. It was right at eye level for her sitting in the cart and she quickly idetified the ice cream on the picture. Well her little mind recorded that image and realized there was a bottle of the substance in our refrigerator. I've been leaving the fridge lock undone because we haven't had any issues. Well the other day it got a little quiet. I went to find M and found her seated in front of a plastic lid (her plate) onto which she'd squirted TONS of syrup and was in the process of licking it off. (She also seemed to think it felt cool and put her feet in it to spread around the floor). I should have learned my lesson but forgot again to lock the fridge later in the day and again caught her doing it. She went over to the lid drawer, got a lid, sat down in front of it and proceeded to enjoy her chocolate syrup. It was one of those moments when you really want to take a picture because seriously, it's hilarious, but at the same time you want her to know that it's wrong.
On a completely different note...I was on the phone with Papa the other day. When I got off the phone I told her who I'd been talking to. This is how the conversation went:
M: Papa my friend.
Mommy: Yes, Papa is your friend.
M: Airplane Nanny & Papa's house.
Mommy:
M: "A dia". (Good idea). Papa airplane our house!
One more...
After getting her up from her "nap" or "quiet time". Neither of which really is true (more like mandatory in your crib time). I asked her why she didn't go to sleep. She looked at me and said, "Sun out Mommy". Interpreted . . . 'Mommy the sun is out and you know we go to bed when the sun goes down. How could I possibly go to sleep?'

You will have fun when daylight saving time means go to bed when the sun is out. Just do not go to Alaska. Love Nani
